Limit increase request
Limit increase requests are there for when players ask for a higher maximum stake on specific bets.
Sportsbooks set betting limits to manage their risk on each event, and these limits can vary based on the sport, type of bet, and individual customer profile.
The procedure
Review the sportsbook and/or racebook, find the line and attempt to place the same bet to make sure the customer is not experiencing another type of problem.
Make the proper escalation in Slack for the requested limit increase: include if the customer is requesting a specific increase for a line or for a sport in general, include dates and times for the match.
Make sure to create the ticket in Intercom for the customer to follow up and so that we can keep up to date with new information about the case.
Inform the customer that the escalation will be forwarded to the team in charge and once we have an update we will get back to them.
Follow up with the team or manager in charge of the escalation and try to give the customer an update in less than 24 hours.
