2FA removal request
Customers might come to chat or through any other communication channel to request or ask what they can do if they have lost access to the 2FA code verification they had set for the account.
This can be due to several reasons; having lost their phone or device, it not working anymore, deleting it by mistake, or sometimes the device have been stolen.
2FA removal will be done through a security procedure that customer service can guide the customer through based on the Verifying ownership procedure.
Toggling on and off the 2FA is not a desired behavior since it is an important feature to secure the account.
When we confirm to the customer that the 2FA has been removed, we should always advise them to set it back on at their earliest convenience, since it is an important security step for their account.
