  1. Visitors: Unknown individuals who are not logged in and have no conversation history.

  2. Leads: Visitors who start a conversation or respond to outbound messages, identified by names like "Charcoal Umbrella from Paris," and receive an Intercom Cookie to remember their conversation history.

  3. Users: Individuals who have registered for your product or logged into an existing account, typically identified by email addresses or user IDs.

The conversion from visitor to lead occurs at the start of a conversation, while leads become users upon registration or login.
